Ted Tanase, chairman and founder
Prior to founding Total Living Choices in 1999, Ted Tanase was chairman of Superbuild.com
the first-to-market e-commerce hardware company in the United States. Earlier, Ted was the
CEO of Lanoga Corp., a $3 billion lumber and building material company at
the time of its sale, and chairman of Lanoga’s parent, the Laird Norton Co.
Ted received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from
the University of Michigan and a master of business administration from Wayne State
University.
Kyle Salem, PhD, president and chief executive officer
Kyle Salem joined Total Living Choices in 2010. He earned a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University, as well as business education through the Kellogg School of Management. Kyle has worked in health care for more than 15 years in academic, provider and industrial settings, from large, multi-national conglomerates to small, privately-owned businesses. As CEO of TLC, Kyle works with customers to ensure TLC's offerings meet their short- and long-term goals as well as their clinical, financial and organizational needs. His vision for TLC see customers able to effectively manage discharges and readmissions to increase quality and efficiency while decreasing costs.
Brant Castellow, vice president of sales
Brant Castellow joined TLC with more than a decade of experience in sales and executive management for health-care technology organizations nationwide. Brant received his bachelor of arts and science in business administration from the University of West Florida.
Steve Chambers, chief financial officer
Steve Chambers graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a certified public accountant. Steve is active in the community, serving as treasurer of the Teammates Metro Omaha Board and a treasurer of a local soccer club. Steve also is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Lindsay Cosimano, vice president of marketing
Lindsay Cosimano holds a master’s in business administration from the University
of Nebraska-Omaha and a bachelor of science degree in business communication from
the University of Kansas. She has more than 14 years of health-care marketing experience. She is president of Nebraska Healthcare Marketers, chair-elect of the Wellness Council of the Midlands Board of Directors and past president of the Nebraska Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She is a founding member of the Omaha American Marketing Association Health-care Special Interest Group and a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.
Patrick Yee, vice president of product development
Patrick Yee joined TLC with more than a decade of experience in software engineering. Patrick received his bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Chicago.

Advisors
Ray Crerand is a consultant with a number of health services related
companies, including VizX Labs, a bioinformatics company. He is a chairman
of the Washington State Hospital Association and has been involved in policy initiatives
on behalf of the American Hospital Association and has served as Governor of the
American College of Healthcare Executives. He received his bachelor’s degree from
the City University of New York and his master’s degree in Healthcare Administration
at Washington University in St. Louis.
Nancy Hooyman is the Dean Emeritus and Professor of the School
of Social Work at the University of Washington. Dr. Hooyman is a Board Advisor
and is actively involved in the Company’s system development. She is the person
in charge of appointing various state university social work department personnel
throughout the USA to the healthcare and provider/facility industries. Dr.
Hooyman also provides articles for and advice to Total Living Choices, and her textbooks—Social
Gerontology and Taking Care of Aging Family Members are widely
read in University settings. Her area of specialty is care of the caregiver.
Hal Daub is an attorney with Husch Blackwell.
He is the past President of the American Health Care Association, former Mayor of
Omaha, Nebraska, and former member of the US House of Representatives. Hal
has extensive personal contacts with key hospital executives throughout the US and
provides important introductions for the Company.
Howard Mahran is the President of Deep Domain, and was the Founder
and President of NexCura an online educational and informational website for people
with cancer and for those organizations whose goals are to help relieve the pain
of cancer patients and solve the mystery of the disease.
Charles (C. J.) Marr is retired CEO of Alegent Health, a not for
profit corporation encompassing seven hospitals and thirty five primary care clinics
in the Omaha Nebraska area. He previously served as President and CEO of Immanuel Healthcare Systems and Regional West Medical Center and has extensive personal contacts
with key hospital executives throughout the US.
Meredith Mathews, MD, MPH, is the Chief Medical Officer of LifeMasters,
a health care informational system for employees of large corporations. Dr.
Mathews was the Chief Medical Officer for the Allina Healthcare Systems, the largest
system in Minnesota. Dr. Mathews brings the viewpoint of doctors to the Company.
Geoff Schmidt, CPA, is the Global Cohead of Capital Markets Origination
- National Australia Bank (“NAB”). Prior to joining NAB Geoff was a Director and
key member responsible for the successful startup of Nomura Securities’ private
placement business. While at Nomura, Geoff was responsible for all private
placement activity for Australia and the Americas. Geoff started his career
in private placements at Deutsche Bank Securities, He holds an MBA from the Kellogg
School of Management, Northwestern University; and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting
from Northeastern Illinois University.
